PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Concrete Tree House was envisioned as more than just a home—it is a sanctuary reflecting the client’s essence, designed for cherished moments without ostentation. This vision guided careful planning, detailing, and facade design. Space optimization and the strategic placement of living areas were key, integrating natural elements like sunlight and wind. Located in a bustling neighborhood, the bungalow stands out with its understated elegance. A prominent concrete wall, shaped like a tree and adorned with a metal sparrow mural, adds character, while a brick-clad zarokha breaks the monotony of blank surfaces. Oriented north, the home maximizes natural light while shielding against harsh sunlight. Courtyards and service areas on the south and west enhance ventilation and allow filtered evening light through jali screens. A courtyard by the temple and dining area further connects the interior with nature. Simplicity defines the interiors, with a neutral palette of beige and grey, light furniture, and minimal detailing to align with the client’s vision. The result is a timeless, serene retreat where thoughtful design harmonizes with nature, creating a refined yet soulful living experience.
