MK ENGIMECH located in GIDC kathwada , Ahmedabad is encouraging the modern day office space for industrial workshop. The office is extended along production unit, running parallel for supervision. 

Inspired from the context and industrial location, interior is focused towards metal sections and steel frames. The entrance is provided with glass door holding steel frame and allowing full visibility. 

Keeping earthy materials in palate, kota flooring is used as carpet for the interiors. 

Alongside the entrance is the waiting lounge and the reception area. Backdrop of the reception table is ornamented through Italian marble with logo ENGIMECH embossed over it. However, the details of metallic frame used for lighting and the base of the reception table cannot be missed. Punchers over wall to create a geometric void through wood and multiuse as showcase. The entire space is integrated through double height over the waiting lounge, beholding the filler slab. Continuing the earthy palate, fill slab is holding an inspiration for reimagining office interiors. The tapestry and table slab are merged in hues of blue along some block prints. The main focus is the exposed metal staircase with wooden top, conducting as an important design element. 

The lobby through lounge leads to office department and the other side has circular punchers enabling view to the workshop. The punctures are highlighted through blue paint. The view of lobby with office’s entrance on side and parallel running punctures on the other, with focal point of the staircase is subtle and elegant. 

Director’s office over ground floor is based on minimal design concept. The working table has marble top with wooden base frame and side sleek storage unit. The veneer is highlighted over the frame work of back wall and enriching the look. With contemporary frames hanging over wall and unique permutation of fabrics over sitting area, the space is enligted. 

First floor director’s office resembles grandeur. The kota flooring is flowing through the back wall, providing a continuous frame. The table has exploration of parametric design with white Korean material giving aesthetic appeal. The highlighting design theory is where the waiting lounge and storage unit is treated as single element. The integrated metal section flows as base of lounge to top of storage unit. The same concept is seen over wall mount metal section flowing as base for wall storage. 

The charm to space is brought through wooden logs as partitions flowing to the ceiling. The wooden members are concealed through glass, enabling a rich view over the façade. 

Such contemporary extended office space over industrial unit with functional accessibility is a treat to eye. Amalgamation of developing concept through the context and treating the interior in functional order to the exterior is the theme. The design concept is to modify the environment and integrate to production unit by using the same material palate.
